Having been noticed by a number of researchers, the work has influenced the development of methods for service selection in in cloud computing, manufacturing, and science of decision-making. For instance a group at the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (Q Sun, S Wang, H Zou, F Yang) have built on the work in the development of QSSA, A QoS-aware Service Selection Approach.
