Additional information

<08>This paper reflected the availability of GPU support in the SaC toolchain. Its hardware agnostic outset triggered quite some external interest: Several invited presentations followed including a presentation at IFIP WG2.11 as well as a dedicated workshop (//hiperfit.dk/news/2012/06/19/one-day-workshop-on-sac-and-apl/) at the Hiperfit consortium in Copenhagen. Hiperfit is strongly supported by both the Danish banking sector and the Danish government. The described work has subsequently been evaluated and expanded leading to several further publications including a recent publication in the journal CCPE "SaC/C formulations of the all-pairs N-body problem and their performance on SMPs and GPGPUs". (DOI 10.1002/cpe.3078).
