<17> This paper describes a novel technique for the resolution of ambiguity in dictionary-based query translation. Our approach considers co-occurrence information as a network susceptible to graph-based analysis. Graph-based analysis is commonly used in IR and CLIR, but this is the first attempt to apply it to query translation. Since publication, this technique has had a significant impact on the CLIR research community. ACM TALIP is a highly focused, specialist journal publishing work related to the computation and processing of information in Asian languages.
