Additional information

Finnerty (and Boyce) each wrote one third of the book’s 5,000-word introduction. Finnerty contributed a 13,500-word chapter that compares the respective engagements of the painter G.F. Watts and the visual artist and poet Edward Lear with celebrity culture, and a 15,000-chapter that demonstrates that Tennyson’s poem Idylls of the King is his most sustained response to his experience of celebrity.
