Canyons, deltas and plains: towards a unified sculptural model of location-based hypertext
Significance of output:
<15>This paper presents a unifying model of location-based hypertext, that for the first time joins hypertext theory with location-based information systems, providing a framework for existing location-based apps to be evaluated as hypertexts, and a model to guide hybrid future systems. The model is validated against existing systems, and a proof-of-concept implementation is provided. It won the SIGWEB Douglas Engelbart award for best paper at ACM Hypertext 2013. We are now developing a significant AHRC bid (digital transformations theme) in hypertext narrative and place with partners at the University of Greenwich and Kings College London.
