The tool from the TSB THERM (TS/H001565/1) project models the energy used by factories and the processes within them. The project partners included IES, which supplies building energy modelling software, Airbus and Toyota. Following THERM, the company (contact: IES Director of R&D) won further research funding from the TSB and the EC, including the £719K TSB sponsored project LESSONS (TP11/LIB/6/I/BQ120K) and the €7.7M FP7 project REEMAIN (608977). The THERM software will be used by Airbus at Broughton (contact: Industrial Performance Leader Airbus) and Toyota Europe (contact: General Manager at Toyota Motor Europe).
