Significance of output:

This is one of over ten journal papers resulting from a collaborative project with Vector Fields Software (Cobham Technical Services), a company specialising in electromagnetic modelling, supported by Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (TSB). The aim was to develop and implement effective multi-objective optimisation algorithms to assist designers of electromagnetic and electromechanical devices. This goal was achieved by developing novel kriging models and exploring pareto optimal fronts. The efficient algorithms provided unique functionality and consequently have been incorporated into Vector Fields software (chris.riley@cobham.com); at the same time all main findings and derivations have been disseminated freely through publications.
