Efficient Resource Utilization for Multi-Flow Wireless Multicasting Transmissions
The paper proposes a novel multi-flow multicasting algorithm that ameliorates the trade-off between limited wireless channel resources and increasing multiple flow transmissions. Two new flow transmission models arise from rigorous theoretical studies. Significance is improved conventional transmissions models by accommodating more than 50% extra concurrent performance-guaranteed transmissions even when a wireless channel is considered "saturated" in related work.
The EPSRC-funded work (EP/JO17159/1) led to a Royal Academy of Engineering Exchange Award (2013) for Tu to collaborate with Prof. Qian Zhang (IEEE Fellow) at Hong-Kong University of Science and Technology. The paper is published in a top-4 world-leading journal in telecommunications.
