The author made a substantial contribution to the design of the study including data collection, analysis; and write up.

This double-blind peer reviewed journal article documents teenagers attitudes and understanding of energy use. Innovative multiple data collection methods were used to engage teenagers in the research process. Based on a work in progress paper presented at the CHI 2012 conference in Texas, USA the research reflects collaboration across, Psychology, Design, Computer Science and has led to workshops being delivered at international and national conferences CHI 2012, CHI 2013, IDC 2013, British HCI 2011 and the Digital Economy conference 2011. The research is part of a multidisciplinary RCUK digital economy funded project.
