Anglo-Saxon graves and grave goods of the Sixth and Seventh Centuries AD: A chronological framework
This volume is the report of a 15-year project funded by English Heritage. The work involved: a review of thousands of burials; seriation of the grave-assemblages; radiocarbon dating of 100 burials; Bayesian modelling; and archaeological and historical appraisal of the results that provides a new typological and chronological framework for the period. This book is 616 pages long and is coordinated with a substantial digital archive (doi:10.5284/1018290). John Hines led and managed the project through the analysis, publication and archive stages, and is responsible for 40% of the printed volume, twice the amount of any other author.
