Additional information

This research on hospital mortality prediction led to the winning of the Computing in Cardiology Competition 2012 and the JA Lodge prize from the IET for A. Johson. Using the world's largest databases of intensive care patients we developed the most accurate mortality prediction metric published to date. The work led to a collaboration with Cerner Corporation (Kansas City, MO) who are sponsoring research and licensing algorithms for use in their latest products.
