Additional information

The novel data presented on the viscosity and lubrication behaviour of the glass coatings used in hot forging provided the basis for a Dorothy Hodgkin funded PhD study with Rolls-Royce plc aimed at providing a fundamental understanding of the interfacial conditions occurring during hot forging and leading to a physically based modelling approach.
