The approach is currently being used in further programmes from EPSRC (EP/H500367/1) and Rolls-Royce (Mark Hardy) for the development of a new turbine disc alloy. This paper has led to an invited lecture (by NW) at the TMS 2012 conference in Orlando, FL, USA, as well as to invitations to teach at the ISTN Summer school on computational thermodynamics in Saclay (France) in 2012 and 2013 (NW).
