Forecasting the effects of road user charge by stochastic agent-based modelling
Significance of output:
This paper uses an innovative combination of agent based and mixed logit models to assess the impact of road user charging and bus based park and ride in the Peak District National Park It involved consultation with local stakeholders, including the National Park Authority and the County Council, building on Doctoral and Masters research supervised by Preston. The park and ride scheme is in operation but road user charging has not been introduced – contact: david.harvey@derbyshire.gov.uk. The results were presented to the International Symposium on the Success and Failures of Travel Demand Measures.
