Additional information

The EARS 2 pedagogical project (including the separately funded Composing with Sounds project), similar to the original ElectroAcoustic Resource Site (EARS) project were conceived of, designed and directed by Leigh Landy. The EARS 2 development team originally consisted of the three authors and had subsequently expanded significantly to a team of nine core members. Specifically regarding this article, Landy created its structure and wrote approximately 75% of its content. Richard Hall, De Montfort’s Director of e-Learning (Centre for Enhanced Learning through Technology, CELT) wrote a small part of the introduction and led section 3.2, “Enhanced Learning through Technology”, assisted by Research Assistant Mike Uwins (discussing the platform and evaluating software and plug-ins) and Landy. Therefore, the eLearning subject-specific aspects were led by the specialist (Hall) but the project and thus the article were the initiative of the lead author (Landy).
