Additional information
This paper describes the application of the patented technology which has been commercialized via the University spin-out company, Xeros Ltd., to the removal of surplus dye from various dye-fibre systems. As such, the technology describes, for the first time ever, a universal method for removing vagrant dye from all dye-fibre systems; in addition, the patented method offers marked savings in water usage, time and energy compared to conventional methods. This is Burkinshaw's idea and has been developed by him.
