Additional information

A probabilistic method is developed for predicting the influence of random component variations on build quality of axi-symmetric assemblies and reducing axial runout, ultimately leading to improved engine vibration performance. This is collaborative work with Rolls-Royce plc. and models were validated against measurement data in the asssembly of high-pressure compressors in the Trent family aero-engines.
