This paper, in a leading optics journal, is the first to show a strong correlation between scene colour properties and the probability of fixation of visual attention. Although the results challenge existing ideas, the paper is too recent to demonstrate impact. It has nevertheless informed research in a PhD thesis at the University of Barcelona (http://hdl.handle.net/10803/117476).
