Weak-Inversion Measurement Circuit for Miniature Electrical Capacitance Tomography
This paper describes a weak inversion circuit for acquiring measurements in the first reported miniature electrical capacitance tomograph. Such circuits offer the potential for high gain at low current but there are few examples of successful implementation. A custom silicon chip was fabricated facilitating acquisition of images at an unprecedented 6000 frames per second. The work was supported by the FVV automotive consortium in Germany (FVV-067682). The industrial lead was Robert Bosch GmbH (contact details available). RWTH Aachen University was the academic collaborator. The work led to employment for the research student at ARM.
