Building on previously developed DC inclined plane tests, the paper develops new techniques of data analysis adding value to measurements, and identifies key process differences between high and low hydrophobicity materials. This and the interpretation given in the context of nano-fillers will influence design, material selection and type testing for the outdoor insulation (Krivda, contact details available) through CIGRE C4.3.03 of which Rowland is a member. Co-authors include Krivda and Schmidt of ABB.
