Additional information

This work was published in a top-ranked journal in the field and is one of the pioneers in the use of time-series based analyses to evaluate the impacts and corresponding optimal planning of renewable distributed generation (see the review paper by an IEEE Task Force on this topic 10.1109/TPWRS.2012.2214406). The international interest on this work is demonstrated by the fact that some of its contributions have been adopted by research groups including those in the USA (10.1016/j.epsr.2011.04.004), China (10.1109/TSG.2012.2205412), India (10.1080/15325008.2010.528533), Italy (10.1016/j.epsr.2011.10.010), UK (10.1049/cp.2010.0889) and Brazil (10.1016/j.epsr.2012.02.018).
