The multiple antennas (MIMO) system is the key technology for high data rate transmission in 4G mobile systems. This work solves a critical problem for MIMO systems, which requires the number of receive antennas to be the at least the same as the number of transmit antennas. A UK patent was filed (GB0704385.4) for this work. The RA on this project has since been employed as a senior researcher in DoCoMo Beijing Communications Lab, working on 4G projects.
