The paper presents an idea on how to calculate average performance of communication systems in the presence of self-interference. This has led to a new computationally efficient method for performance analysis of OFDM mobile communication systems. It is published in one of the top-ranked journals in the field. This research on self-interference has already been used by several other research groups, e.g. in China (DOI: 10.1109/ICoSP.2012.6491848) and elsewhere (DOI: 10.3724/SP.J.1146.2012.00275, 10.1109/TELFOR.2012.6419249).
