Analytical Studies of Energy–Time Efficiency of Blocking Expanding Ring Search
<02> Reduction of energy consumption and search latency is a difficult but important problem in mobile AdHoc Networks. This paper proposes a new energy-time efficient protocol BERS* for Ad Hoc Networks. The underpinning mathematical model reveals hidden concurrency in existing energy efficient protocols. The paper is an extension (with new material) of a paper presented at the IEEE/IFIP international conference NTMS2009 (acceptance rate: 32%). It led to two invited research talks and visits. The work is cited by recent article in Artificial Intelligence (impact factor: 2.194) on search in agent systems. The work was supported by the Royal Society.
