Additional information

<22> Published in the most important journal in evolutionary computing (Impact Factor: 4.81). Demonstrates that the dynamics of a distribution-based model of Particle Swarm Optimisation can reproduce the dynamics of the original algorithm if an underlying parameter is correctly tuned (value calulated and experimentally verified in this paper). As a consequence, the complex stochastic particle dynamics algorithm can be replaced by Gaussian sampling, hence laying foundation for further analysis using standard statistical tools. Rigorous mathematical derivations, like this, are rare in this subject. This work has applications: for example, to ship-building http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2013/175848 and to wireless sensor network improvement http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/ICCA.2013.6565100
