<10> The work reported in this article was undertaken as part of the EPSRC award “CASINO: Causal Semantics of Nets with Inhibitor Arcs” (GR/T19407/01). The paper defines for the first time rigorous concurrent process semantics for membrane systems (computational model based on the way biochemical reactions work in cells). This article was invited for journal publication as one of best papers of WMC'06, and contributed (together with another paper in this submission) to an invited “Blaise Pascal Chair” visiting professorship at Leiden University in 2011.
