Additional information

<28> The paper describes an approach to facilitate model-centric design for engineering biological systems. It shows for the first time how dynamic models of biological systems should be annotated to facilitate automated methods for the direct conversion of the model formalism to the DNA sequence that will encode the proteins to implement the system in-vivo. It also presents a unique algorithm for automating the design of a genetic system from a dynamic model - a fundamental goal of synthetic biology. This work led to an invitation to join the International Steering Panel for Synthetic Biology Open Language.
