Additional information

A new, rigorous experimental and data analysis methodology is reported for collecting and reporting hydrogen storage measurements for nanoporous materials. This resolves the current lack of standardisation and consistency in this field. The paper followed an invited oral presentation at the 2010 AIChE Annual Meeting, Salt Lake City, UT, USA. It led to support from Hiden Isochema (the major UK manufacturer of gas sorption equipment) for a successful EPSRC bid by Mays and others for a five-year £4.0M SUPERGEN Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Hub (EP/J016454/1), which started in 2012.
