Additional information

This paper contributes to the practical application of acoustic modelling. The result of an EPSRC funded project (EP/F013078/1) in collaboration with Queens’ University Belfast, an industry standard method to quantify the diffusion coefficient of a boundary termination in a room acoustics simulation (established in submission DTM3) is used to test an efficient and independent parameterisation of absorbing and diffusing behaviour. The methods form a basis of The Acoustic Experience Company (University of York spin-out), and has been licensed to Sonalksis (kieran@sonalksis.com), a UK pro-audio company.
