Additional information

A key application for terahertz (THz) radiation is imaging, particularly in the fields of non-destructive inspection, security screening and biomedicine. This work has provided the foundation for enhancing the imaging technology enabled by generating continuous wave laser output power of several milliwats. The concepts have been widely acknowledged by researchers as a development which can enable electro-optic harmonic sampling DOI: 10.1063/1.4793424 for imaging, monitoring of oil pollution in water ( DOI: 10.1016/j.ijleo.2011.10.002); analysing and condition monitoring of insulating materials (ISSN: 0883-7554); enhancing noise-equivalent power characterization of microbolometer-based THz cameras (ISBN: 978-0-81948-597-7), and remote identification of concealed chemicals (ISSN: 1759-9660).
