Additional information

The demonstration here that elliptical nano-bumps provides a viable means for generating sub-10nm nano-bumps in storage disk media is being used in new product development by Precision Laser Solutions Pte Ltd (29 Mandai Estate #03-11, 729932, Singapore ; contacts : Zhang Jinzhao and Wu Naien) who are suppliers to Seagate. The technology specifically meets the requirement of next-generation Terabit-Per-Square Inch hard drives where a head-media spacing of 6.5 nm is required.
