Additional information

This output consists of the introduction, Alonso’s own chapter, and his research contribution to the volume. One of the main purposes of the volume is to revise and contextualize widespread assumptions of the Spanish transition to democracy being single-handedly led by political and social elites. The book comprises a selection of revised papers delivered at an international conference that the editors organized in 2008 at King’s College London, with two extra papers commissioned from external collaborators to better tackle the manifold dimensions of democratization in Spain.
