Additional information

<01>This paper reports on the most parameterisable hardware core implementation of biological sequence alignment using dynamic programming. Actual implementation reported two order of magnitude speed-ups compared with pure software implementation, harnessing therefore the suitability of FPGAs in the field of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
