Paper reports results from investigation into performance of systems engineering practice in Rolls-Royce's Defence Gas Turbine business unit. It uses new technique [Yearworth-1] for investigating problems with implementation of complex processes in engineering organisations. This is based on hybridising systems modelling with qualitative data analysis.
