Additional information

Work conducted within a Marie Curie Research Training Network to train 10 researchers in hydrogen combustion in collaboration with BP/Health and Safety Laboratory (Wen was Coordinator/Lead Scientist). The outcome led to an advanced CFD model for predicting the propensity to spontaneous ignition in pressurized hydrogen release. Model will be used for the new EPSRC project EP/K021109/1, funded under the SUPERGEN Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Programme. Wen has since been appointed by the International Association of Hydrogen Safety to lead a team of five Guest Editors to publish three special issues on hydrogen safety for the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
