This new work focuses on one of the key issues of understanding and modelling the effect of incorporating N on the bandgap for this technologically important material. The wide range of capabilities amongst the collaborators has led to a demonstration of a significant bandgap reduction and an understanding of the reasons for it. This has supported the successful EPSRC fellowship application for T.D. Veal (EP/G004447/2, £178.5k), based on N incorporation in antimonides.
