Additional information

This collection is the product of seven years work and is the first which focuses on the detail of Zappa's creative processes and the ways in which this artist has resonated with popular culture. The collection aims to present a range of critical discourses on Zappa's interface with media such as horror, technology and death. Carr's involvement included writing the proposal, commissioning the chapters, and devising the research framework. In addition to an essay on Zappa's contribution and relationship with Music Technology, Carr also wrote the introduction which provides the book's ontological framework.
