Additional information

The framework proposed in this article provided a basis for the development and analysis of biosecurity policies for resilient buildings in the €3.5M EU project RIBS (no242497). In RIBS, it allowed conflicts and synergies between different security systems to be identified. The content was presented at specialized workshops in seven countries to security professionals from the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, Public Health England, Embassy of Israel, Canadian Embassy, etc. The content also informed the EU-funded Resilience of Infrastructure and Building Security Handbook intended for dissemination to an audience of regulators, technology designers, and facility managers across the EU.
