Additional information

Robust, rapid and simple detection of hazardous microcystins is essential for protection of humans and wildlife. In collaboration with Agdia in the USA, recombinant antibodies developed at RGU/University of Aberdeen were incorporated into a sample lateral flow detection device. In combination with simple sample handling protocols, this was the first on site test for microcystins. This publication illustrates the the robustness of the technology and it is the most appropriate first line screen for future testing.
