Additional information

Cyanobacteria produce a diverse range of bioactive compounds and it is essential to characterize these from strains under investigation in order to understand the dynamics of the organism. Nodularia spumigena frequently form blooms in the Baltic Sea and new knowledge on chemical composition will contribute to further understanding on their role in bloom formation.
