Double-weighted statement

This is the first collected edition of the letters of Victorian novelist Rosina Bulwer Lytton from 1825-1881. I gathered nearly 1,000 of her letters world-wide from dozens of libraries and archives, the vast majority of which had, until now, remained unpublished and in manuscript form. For this three-volume edition, they have all been newly transcribed and annotated. 4,000 footnotes incorporate over 75,000 words of annotated material covering a wide range of topics. This is the accumulation of twenty years work, supported by a Leverhulme Research Fellowship and funding from the British Academy and the Knebworth Education and Preservation Trust.
