Additional information

-First use of pure engineered metal/metal oxide nanoparticles against a full spectrum of bacterial and represents highly novel applied research in the use of engineered nano particles.

-Developed new anti-microbial test methodologies, which is now widely adopted worldwide.

-QinetiQ Nanomaterials Ltd used the data to define the ranges of particle sizes and shapes for stronger antimicrobial characteristics, perimeters and tailored the material formulation in their manufacture processes.

-Further mixtures of elemental nano-particles were developed with greater stable efficacy in engineering applications against a range of super bugs (E-Coli, MRSA).

-Supported antiviral-antibacterial formulation (AVNP), and funding for TSB/SEEDA with £3.2M.
