Additional information

This paper reports a novel risk management methodology for seaport terminals which has been used by ABS Nautical Systems in its business (Director, ABS Nautical Systems). The work was partially supported by an EU project named Weastflows (Wang, Ren, et al., €350k of €4.5m to LJMU, 2011-2015). The research was conducted in collaboration with three Iranian ports of Bushehr, Shahid Rajaie and Chabahar (board member of Shahid Rajaei Port, Iran). The research findings were used in the feasibility study of selecting a new seaport in Iran (Pro-Vice Chancellor, Chabahar Maritime University, Iran).
