Additional information

The aim of this volume was to bring together essays by international scholars and practitioners who draw with rigour on diverse theoretical frameworks and offer new historical as well as contemporary perspectives on the theme of this collection. Gritzner was responsible for soliciting and selecting contributions which explore key intersections between eroticism and death in theatre and performance. Gritzner contributed an introduction (4,147 words), a chapter entitled ‘Desire and Destruction in the Drama of Georg Büchner’ (6,756 words), and translated one chapter from German into English.
