Double-weighted statement

The book is 80, 000 words long and took four years to research and write. I spent a whole year in various archives in Germany researching this book. The sources were all in German and came predominantly from the German Diary Archive and the German 'Feldpostbrief' Archive. In the latter archive, I went through 15, 000 personal letters and created a set of statistics based on asking the same set of questions of every tenth letter.
