Additional information

This technology paper describes the development of optical tweezers for the spectroscopic analysis of aerosols. It demonstrates how multiplexing of analysis can be carried out on a single instrument allowing many aerosols to be analysed within the same experiment. The work formed part of Jonathan Reid's successful EPSRC Leadership bid and led to a keynote talk for McGloin at the RSC Colloids conference in London 2011 and talk for McGloin at the Optical Society of America ISOT conference in Istanbul in 2009.
