The effects of hydrogen substitution on turbulent premixed methane-air kernels using direct numerical simulation
The paper presents results of Direct Numerical Simulations using the code SENGA 2, developed by Dr K Jenkins (Cranfield) and Prof Cant (Cambridge) (stewart.cant@eng.cam.ac.uk). The work was carried out with a large collaborative consortium formed from 6 Universities (Cambridge, Cranfield, Imperial, Leeds, Southampton and Manchester) under EPSRC grant number EP/D076773/1. The code is widely used at Cranfield, and by Prof Cant (Cambridge), Dr Prosser (Manchester, robert.prosser@manchester.ac.uk)) Prof Chakraborty (Newcastle, nilanjan.chakraborty@ncl.ac.uk) and Prof Emerson (Daresbury labs, david.emerson@stfc.ac.uk), and is part of a new 5 year UK reacting turbulent flow consortium (EPSRC grant number EP/K025104/1).
