An evolving classification cascade with self-learning
This research looks at the application of online computational intelligence to smart home technology. Bouchachia was invited to organise special issues on online computational intelligence. Also he was invited to join two IEEE task force committees on evolving systems. The research led to a funded PhD studentship (£45K, 2013-2016). Bouchachia was invited to serve as PC member for a number of conferences (e.g., IEEE-FUZZ’14, ICMLA’13, HIS’13, ISDA’13, EAIS’14). This triggered collaboration with researchers in France (co-funded PhD studentship (£45K, 2014-2016) with the Ecole des Mines, Douai-France) and Canada (joint bid application with Concordia University for the Canada-UK collaboration award programme).
