NTRUCCA: How to Strengthen NTRUEncrypt to Chosen-Ciphertext Security in the Standard Model
<18> Protecting privacy is key in information transmission as data is generally conveyed through hostile networks. However, an issue with current technologies is that the security of most existing cryptosystems will be broken if quantum computers can be built. An alternative is to design lattice-based cryptosystems such as NTRU. However, currently NTRU has no formal security proof against active adversaries making it unreliable to be implemented. We propose a variant of NTRU achieving such a level of security. Its design requires little modification from those already implementing the (unreliable) NTRU scheme to switch to our proposed cryptosystem.
