British Sociology’s Lost Biological Roots charts a complex debate involving a wide range of historical actors over the course of almost 50 years, which involved the collection and analysis of a wide range of material, including a considerable body of largely unknown archival material located in Canada. The book therefore generates a particularly complex thesis, developed over six chapters, plus introduction and conclusion, which was possible only after a data collection process more than three years in length.
